10:00 Small Group Bible Study (también en español)
Ever wonder what’s in the Bible or want to talk about it with peers? Here’s your chance! Bible passages are read and discussed each week in order to help us ponder the wisdom of the Holy Scriptures and apply it to our lives. Kids classes enjoy crafts, snacks, and handouts. Teenagers have fun while exploring the Bible. Adults reap the benefits of informative Bible background and good fellowship–with classes in English and Spanish.
11:00 The worship of God
In worship we seek to experience God, speak from our hearts to heaven, and listen for a message God has for us that day. We use prayer, music, community readings, and sermons to interact with God’s Holy Spirit. Our worship is mainly traditional, with praise choruses mixed in for passion, and a healthy dose of liturgy for focus and structure. Your presence will enrich our worship. All people are welcome. Come as you are!
7:00 Prayer & Bible Study (adults)
First we share community concerns and spend time in prayer, both for ourselves and others. Then the pastor leads a Bible study discussion time. Topics vary from global needs, pop culture, spiritual maturity, relationships, and church missions. Questions and comments welcome!
7:00 Building Faith (kids)
A class for all school-aged kids to learn about the Bible, make crafts, sing fun songs, and have lots of fun. Each week they work on their Faith Folders, which have a Bible memory verse, things to pray about, and more!
7:45 Choir Practice
Do you enjoy music and singing? They you’re invited to sing with the choir. There are no musical or talent prerequisites, just enjoy making a joyful noise!
One Sunday a month
11:30 am Kids Church
In worship, after the children’s message, the kids go to the Fellowship Hall for a special class just for them. In 2013 it was about missions, where they traveled to different countries to learn what the people are like there and how God is at work. In 2014 it was worship, where they learned about the aspects of our worship service and what they mean: prayer, symbols, songs, and more. In 2015 it’s a Bible Drill, so they’re learning the ins and outs of the Bible and memorizing lots of verses. The class meets during the sermon, usually on the 1st Sunday (check the calendar to be sure).
12:00 pm Coffee & Snack Fellowship
It’s always good to make time for chatting and catching up. This is a chance to check in on how life is going, over a cup of coffee and a muffin. It is usually the 4th Sunday of the month (check the calendar to be sure), is free, and informal.
5:00 pm Youth Hangouts
The teenagers get together for fun fellowship and meaningful discussions. There are games, snacks, and spiritual ponderings. Check the calendar to see which day we’ll meet this month, if it’s at a special time, or if we’ll go somewhere (bowling, the movies, and other places). All teenagers and friends are invited!
6:45 pm Baptist Women
On the 3rd Sunday of each month, all women are invited to plan, dream, and think of creative ways for our church to put God’s love into action–in our community and around the world. They plan collection drives, events, and yard sales to raise money and items to help people in need.
